About us

Mission

Statement

Teen-Nite is a citywide outreach youth program. We serve young adults in the city of Aurora and surrounding cities of the Fox Valley area. Our goal is to engage and challenge these young adults off the streets of the cities with the Word of God and provide an alternative to a negative lifestyle. We seek to build strong relationships with the youth by instilling hope, faith, integrity, values, vision, relationships, excellent leadership, and unconditional love through mentoring, recreation, and fellowship. Another goal is to take the city and bring all the youth back to God through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Theme Verses...

2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Statement

of Faith

Our History

God, the almighty Father is the creator of all things spiritual and physical. He is generous, loving, and caring. He is also just and demands complete obedience to his Word.

Jesus Christ is the Word, who has always been with God and who is God. He is the Son of God, the Savior. He was sent down from heaven to be born a perfect man and to die for our sins. He rose again to give us eternal life and he ascended to heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father. He will return one day, no one knows when, to judge the living and the dead.

The Holy Spirit of God is the giver of life who has always been with God and who is God. He caused Jesus to be conceived in his mother, the Virgin Mary. When Jesus ascended to heaven he sent the Holy Spirit among us to convict us of sin, to guide us, to teach us, and to comfort us.

These three, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, are one God who lives forever in us and with us. We call this true God the Trinity.

God created people in His image to glorify and enjoy Him. He placed them in the Garden of Eden, but Satan tempted them to sin. They sinned by disobeying God, so they lost fellowship with Him. Because of their sin, we have all become sinners. Because we are all sinners and cannot save ourselves, we need salvation.

If anyone believes that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, that person is saved, and the Holy Spirit lives in him, and God is his true Father.

Now as God's children we are called to live holy and righteous lives to the glory of God and his righteousness, free from the slavery and power of sin. We live by the Word of God written in scripture by the power of the Holy Spirit, so we do not live like everyone else.

Our hope is in the life to come, living with God forever, with happiness, joy, and peace in the love of our Father. Anyone who believes in Jesus can be sure of inheriting this eternal life.

God has been so faithful to Teen Nite Inc. since it was founded by Pator Manuel K. Donelson in September of 1998. The ministry has moved from East Aurora High School (1999), to Cowherd Middle School (2001), as well as Aurora Christian School (2003), and currently gathers at Our Savior Lutheran. During these transitions, we had some exciting things happen:

On March 22, 2001, Teen Nite became an

incorporated 501c3.

On June 15, 2002, Deacon Aaron Malone becomes the new president.

In September of 2003, Teen Nite began using

vans from Riverwoods Christian Center. In September of 2003, the ministry started driving to Jericho Circle for weekly pick ups.

In March of 2004, two buses were donated by Men Discipling Men (MDM).
